Daily Trust reports that the factory specializes in the manufacture of nutritional food used for the care of children affected by malnutrition.
Prince Agba also noted that with the current pressure on Nigeria for forex, such factories have to produce to world-class standards, compete internationally and grow the country’s economy.
“Industries like this have to grow the economy because people are employed and for every one person that you employ, the dividends go to almost 10 or 15 when you look at the way we live in this part of the world,” he stated. We will give you support,” he added.
While presenting some of the issues to the minister for support, the General Manager, Nutri-K Factory, Abdoulkader Yonli, said most of the raw materials used in the production are not manufactured in Nigeria.
“Like the vitamins, we don’t have the manufacturers locally. So if we are going to import, how can we have the support and help for the raw materials that we cannot have in the country? We want to have a kind of waiver for few years to be able to compete globally,” he said.
