“The vigilante men later barged into my neighbour’s house and asked if some suspected criminals entered the house, and they were told that nobody ran into the house,” he said.

He said the vigilante members left and returned to the house and asked the owner of the house to show them the room where some youths were sleeping.

He said the owner of the house took the vigilantes to the room and one of the vigilantes dragged one Musa out and shot him.

“The boy and his friends were sleeping when the vigilante charged into the room and dragged him outside, shot him on the chest and he died instantly,” he said.

He said the killing of Musa sparked a riot in which a mob attacked and killed the vigilante member who shot Musa.

Also, one Ali Dahiru was stabbed during the melee and is currently on admission at an undisclosed private clinic in the area.

However, Gwagwalada Divisional Police Officer (DPO) CSP Tersoo Tile, arrived at the scene to calm the situation.

When contacted, the DPO confirmed the incidents, saying the corpses were handed over to the families for burial while the investigation was ongoing.
