Nigeria, Saudi-Arabia partner on drug war

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) have partnered to strengthen their fight against trafficking of illicit drugs.

This was the highpoint of discussions between the Chairman of NDLEA, Brig-Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) and representative of GDNC, Col Naser Hajid Al Otaibi, during a two-day session in Abuja.

Gen Marwa appreciated Saudi Arabia for its support in the past while proposing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two agencies in combating trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, a statement by the spokesman of the agency, Femi Babafemi, indicated.
