Kidnappers have shot dead a middle-aged man, Haruna Dako, and carted away foodstuffs at Kambu of Abaji Area Council of the FCT.
Daily Trust report that Kambu village, which is under Chakumi chiefdom, shares a boundary with Kasanki community in the Gwagwalada Area Council, where the river Gurara flows between the two communities.

A resident of the community, simply identified as Yahaya, said the incident happened on Friday night at about 10:27 pm when the kidnappers in their numbers invaded the community.
He said the deceased took his phone to a nearby shop to charge and while returning to his house, he was caught up by the kidnappers.
“He went to give his phone at one of the shops for charging while he was coming back to his house, one of the kidnappers asked him to stop.
“And out of fear, he decided to run and one of the kidnappers shot him and he died instantly,’ he said.
He said the kidnappers, who ordered some customers at the shop to lie down, carted away foodstuffs, which comprises rice, beans and noodles before leaving the village.
He said the remains of the deceased has been buried by the family.
The spokesperson of the FCT police command, ASP Mariam Yusuf, did not pick calls put across and did not also reply to a text message she asked our reporter to send.
