He said, “We believe that doing this will enable our students to always excel in national and international examinations and academic competitions. It is my belief that though the administration has over the years recorded tremendous feats in the educational sector, especially in the area of digitalising our teaching and learning methodologies in line with best global standards, there is no doubt that the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic has driven planners and practitioners in the educational sector to begin to think outside the box in a bid not to be caught off guard in the event of a similar occurrence.”
He, therefore, urged the planners and policy makers in the FCT’s educational sector to become more proactive and abreast with modern technologies that would guarantee efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
Meanwhile, the Director of the FCT Scholarship Board, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed Kagara, announced the disbursement of scholarships to an undisclosed number of students.
Hajiya Zainab also said scholarship application forms were now free for prospective applicants, revealing that approval had been given to the board to conduct a qualifying examination for applicants beginning from the next awarding session.
She explained that, “Henceforth, only candidates who pass the examination will be awarded a scholarship, and the number of awardees will depend on the availability of funds at any given time.”
