A real estate and tourism operator, Emmanuel Enesi Ozigi, has attributed Nigeria’s dwindling Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flow to the high level of insecurity.
Speaking at the opening of Bukkies Park and Recreational Garden, a games and recreation centre in Abuja, Ozigi urged the government to re-strategize and restructure security apparatus and business rules in line with current realities to restore confidence.

“So, you can even see from the part of statistical data that the flow of FDI reduced drastically and it is because this is not an investment haven for now.
“Nigeria is in the red zone, because of that a lot of people are not willing to come. We need to re-strategize and restructure our security system. You need to restore the confidence of the citizens so that investment would return,” he said.
He urged the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) to liberalize its regulation on parks and recreation areas to align with the federal government’s ease of doing business which could help to reduce unemployment and insecurity.
