Anambra election: PDP reconciles aspirants, targets victory

The reconciliation followed the resolution of the PDP governors,

The governor of Adamawa State, Ahmad Fintiri, has reconciled all the aggrieved aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the Anambra governorship election slated for November 6.

The reconciliation followed the resolution of the PDP governors, which also appointed Senator Uche Ekwunife, as the campaign Director of the governorship election.

Speaking with newsmen after the reconciliation, Fintiri said that they have carried out the reconciliation of all aspirants.

He said, “We carried out the directives of our governors and reconciled all the aggrieved aspirants and it was unanimously agreed that Senator Uche Ekwunife be appointed the campaign Director and she is so appointed.

“With her appointment, the campaigns for PDP recapturing will soon kick off. All aspirants have been reconciled.

“Anambra State belongs to the PDP and this will be confirmed at the November 6 governorship election.”

Accepting the appointment, Senator Ekwunife pledged and restated her commitments to ensure victory for PDP in the election.

She promised to use all her political connections to ensure victory for PDP.

Also contributing, the PDP candidate, Valentine Ozigbo, said that with the reconciliation, the PDP is set to take over the State.

He also pledged to meet other aspirants that lost the governorship contest in the June primary election.

In his speech, the national chairman of PDP, Uche Secondus, said that the party is set to take over the state as it has always been.
