The Department of State Services (DSS), on Thursday expressed concerns over the rising insecurity in Africa particularly in Nigeria, saying such unfriendly development has collapsed a lot of businesses in the Borno State, the epicenter of Boko Haram terrorists.
The Director-General of the secret police, Yusuf Bichi, gave the charge in Abuja at a seminar organised for participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC 14), at the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS).

Bichi, who was represented by the Director, National Assembly Liaison, Mohammed Ngosha, emphasised the need for inclusivity and consensus in governance.
He said, “Now, a state of insecurity that we have seen in the past years in this country will scuttle the development, not even the sustainable development but also the development of the moment.
“You say you want to build railways in the Northeast, let me give you an example of the power line, more than five months now, Maiduguri has not been having electricity because they (Boko Haram) pulled down the power line that is carrying electricity to Borno State.
The DSS boss, however, urged African leaders to provide responsible and inclusive governance in order to stem the tide in across the continent, noting that “if we have governance that is good, we will have an atmosphere of tranquility”.
