Foundation seeks to empower the poor

Wealthy individuals have been called upon to partner with relevant foundations to provide empowerment to the poor through training and skills acquisition across the country.

The founder of a non-governmental organisation, Beyond Community Care Foundation (BCCF), Chief Denis Ezebuilo, said this on Thursday at the flag off of the partnership of the foundation with the department of Mass Communication, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

Represented by one of the directors of the foundation, Mr Onuora Aninwobodo. He  said the partnership is aimed at providing empowerment to the less privileged.

According to him, the group is determined to provide access to healthcare for the sick and the aged in the rural communities and education to the poor.

The foundation recently awarded a scholarship to Miss Chidera Wisdom, an amputee and an SS3 student of Government Secondary School, Garki Abuja.
