Abductors of two children and seven adults at Anguwar Kwankwashe in Suleja, Niger State have pegged down their demand from N100 million to N50 million.
Daily Trust had reported that gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, had in the early hours of Monday, invaded some houses at Anguwar Kwankwashe in the area and whisked away two children and five adults.

A family source of one of the kidnap victims, who preferred anonymity, said the family has been able to establish contact with the kidnappers on Tuesday, saying they are demanding N100 million.
He said, after intensive negotiations from Tuesday till Thursday morning, the kidnappers later cut down the ransom to N50 million, even as he disclosed that some security men have been combing the forest to trace the kidnappers’ hideout.
“In fact, it was after so much pleadings before they now brought the ransom down to N50 million, even though the families are still pleading with them to still bring down the ransom,” he said.
The Madalla Divisional Police Officer (DPO) CSP Adamu Mohammed, could not be reached to confirm the report as his phone was not connecting.
