Nigeria’s Ambassador to Benin Republic, Tukur Buratai, has met with President Patrice Talon of of Benin Republic.
Buratai met with the Beninese President to present his letter of credence to him.

Daily Trust had reported that President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Buratai as Nigeria’s envoy to Benin Republic.

Buratai met with Talon amid the arrest of self-styled Yoruba leader, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho.
Igboho who was arrested in Cotonou, capital of Benin Republic, while trying to escape to Germany.
He had fled the country after the Department of State Services (DSS) raided his residence and subsequently declared him wanted.
Igboho is being tried in the Francophone country.
