Bauchi State House of Assembly on Tuesday passed a bill seeking to establish a trust fund to raise money through voluntary donations for all security agencies in the State.
The Security Trust Fund (Establishment) Bill was passed after consideration and adoption of the report of the House Committee on Finance and Economic Development, chaired by Dan’umma Bello (Giade Constituency).

Bello explained that the trust fund, when established, would be a direct response to the challenges facing security agencies in the state in the areas of logistics, mobility and communication, among others.
He said the committee recommended that monies under the fund would be invested if possible.
The committee also recommended that 0.1% of the state’s statutory allocation be channelled into the fund.
