The presidential approval for the construction of roads from Dikwa to Marte and to Monguno for N60,273 billion and Numan road linking Borno and Adamawa for N15,527 billion and the Gombi to Biu road linking Adamawa and Borno also for N7,643 billion, is a very good development for Borno State.
The roads were constructed over 50 years ago and they are no more in good condition. These projects will be regarded as one of the feats of the Buhari administration. The hazard caused by the ugly state of these roads in terms of human casualties cannot be quantified. I have never witnessed a project approval that has made so many people, young and old, as happy as this one.

I urge the contractors who will handle the projects to do their best and avoid shoddy jobs. They should be efficient and deliver on the projects within the time given to them.
I call on the state governor and all other political leaders to monitor these projects.
