A family court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, remanded a 60-year-old man, alleged to be a serial rapist, Kayode Akinsile, at Abolongo Correctional Centre till September 15, 2021.
Also remanded was a 68-year-old, Dr Ajelere Ajewumi, a resident of Oki Olodo, Ibadan, for illegal adoption and defilement of a 14-year-old girl.

The Chief Magistrate P. O. Adetoyibo who presided over the case described the development as unfortunate.
The duo were arrested by the men of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Speaking on their arrest shortly after they were remanded, the State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adaralewa Michael, said the suspects were charged to court by the anti-human trafficking and child protection unit of the corps.
According to him, Akinsile was first arrested on 15th June, 2021, and was granted bail but later went ahead to defile another minor and was rearrested on July 7th this year.
He said; “The second suspect, Dr Ajewumi, 68, from Oki Olodo, Ibadan, was arrested for illegal adoption and defilement of a 14-year-old girl.”
Commandant Adaralewa Michael said the two suspects were arraigned after forensic and medical examination and thorough investigation by the corps.
He advised parents to be more responsible in caring for their children, while he encouraged the children to be disciplined and be good ambassadors of their various homes and families.
