School to groom kids, students as entrepreneurs across Africa

Today’s Leaders International (TLI), an Online Business School, plans to train, equip and empower individuals with entrepreneurial, vocational and leadership skills beginning from age four.

Speaking during its Pre-launch in Abuja at the weekend, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Love Oladele, said: “We are out to raise at least one seasoned entrepreneur in every household across the continent and to turn our members into seasoned entrepreneurs and business leaders with sustainable wealth.”

Love Oladele described entrepreneurs as wealth creators, adding that the aim of TLI was to groom and mentor members as entrepreneurs to be able to start their own businesses as soon as practicable and to grow their existing businesses “so that together we can create wealth for our communities”.

“Education is the key to the transformation of the individual, and this remains the most powerful tool for transforming societies, which is why the TLI brand is one of the best services any organisation can offer to society.

“The platform provides access to vocational, leadership, and 21st-century skills acquisition and is unique in the sense that it is carefully designed to teach and promote entrepreneurial skills in kids, students and budding entrepreneurs, even from the tender age of 4 years.

“This is a practical measure to provide our army of unemployed youths, who have various degrees and certificates, with functional education that enables them to create jobs, and create wealth and thereby push back the walls of unemployment and poverty that currently ravage most of the African societies”, Oladele said.

According to the CEO, TLI has a wide range of courses such as accounting for Entrepreneurs, customer relationships, digital marketing, virtual assistance, cosmetology, blockchain technology & cryptocurrency, which can be accessed on the platform’s portal.

The TLI online entrepreneurship courses are categorized under entrepreneurs, studentpreneurs and kidpreneurs.

Oladele added that the institution is planning to visit schools to educate students on the need to be responsible and self-reliant before leaving school.

“We teach our kid and student entrepreneurs how to make money while schooling, against the fear most parents have, that once they are exposed to business they won’t continue with their education.”

Speaking at the event, a student entrepreneur, Salami Chinedu, said: “For me, it’s been an exciting experience schooling and learning to be an entrepreneur at the same time. I’m developing a sense of self-reliance early in life.”

Wisdom Asuelimen, another student and entrepreneur, said: “Being a studentpreneur saves one the stress of totally depending on others.

“We don’t go broke in school because we make our own money and with the level of unemployment in the country today, we don’t need to wait for white-collar jobs when we graduate.”

The event, which took place at TLI Corporate Head Office, 13b, Angola Street, Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, attracted participants from across the FCT and neighbouring states and was transmitted real-time across the globe via zoom.
