“The background that you have in finance before taking up this role, you are putting it to good use here in the state. You know a good manager of resources in the time of scarcity,” he said.
The former president who admonished the governor that his successor was as important as the successes he has made, urged the people of the state to protect the projects in the state, saying cumulative development is what would move the state forward.
Speaking, Governor Udom Emmanuel said the ongoing developmental projects in the state were not executed because the state had money but as a result of wisdom, creativity and ideas.
He explained that some of the projects were executed in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and urged the people of the state, particularly the youths to protect the projects.
Regional Manager of Julius Berger, Mr Juergen Fischer, who said the flyover was the longest in Uyo, applauded Governor Udom Emmanuel for delivering on what he promised.
He said the management of the company was grateful for the confidence reposed in them and commended the people of the state for their patience and cooperation during the period of the construction.
