Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has banned the Senior Special Assistants Forum in Kano over rift in its leadership.
The governor, in a circular signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, said they have observed that recent activities in the SSAs’ forum are distracting them from their primary responsibilities and performance to the government.

He said that the current rift between the two leadership of the forum has created discontent and embarrassment to the government which, if left unchecked, is capable of undermining the aims and objectives for which the SSAs were appointed.
“There is need to maintain peaceful co-existence among the Senior Special Assistants. It is on this ground that, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, directed that the SSA’s forum along with its two leaderships are hereby banned and therefore, dissolved for now.
“All Senior Special Assistants are therefore instructed to concentrate and operate according to their respective schedule of duties for the success of the government,” the circular reads.
