Gunmen numbering four suspected to be kidnappers have been shot dead by the operatives of the Edo State Police Command in collaboration with the Inspector General of Police Response Team (IRT) from Abuja.
They were said to have met their waterloo July 6, when they stormed Presco Oil Company, Ltd along Benin-Sapele Road and abducted an expatriate working with the company.

The deceased identified as Osaosemwen Osifo, David Ogba, Efosa Friday and Nelson Uchiko, were earlier arrested in 2015 for alleged kidnapping.
They were alleged to have been charged to court and remanded in Oko Correctional Centre (Prison) in Benin but regrouped after the #EndSARS protest during which hoodlums freed prison inmates at the two correctional centers in Benin.

A Golf car allegedly used for the operation, two AK -47 rifles and several phones were recovered from them.
When contacted, the police spokesman in the state said he would not make any comment on the matter since the operation was carried the operatives from Abuja.
