The Osun State High Court in Osogbo on Thursday sentenced a 29-year-old cobbler Tunde Olapade to life imprisonment for defilement.
Olapade was charged by the state prosecution with three counts of rape, indecent assault and defilement.

The prosecuting counsel from the Ministry of Justice, Barrister Mosunmola Ogunkola told the court that the convict committed the offence on 5th day of October, 2012.
He said Olapade defiled a 7-year-old girl, daughter of his neighbour inside a toilet behind the house.
Ogunkola said the offence was contrary to sections 358, 360 and 218 of criminal code law, Cap.34, volume 11 Laws of Osun State, 2002.
The defendant counsel, TS Adegboyegba told the Court that Olapade was innocent of the offences and urge the court to discharge and acquit him.
Justice Olayinka Ayoola in his ruling convicted Olapade and sentenced him to life imprisonment for rape.
