The campaign, which was led by the wife of Inspector-General of Police and President of POWA, Hajiya Hajara Usman Baba, also listed education, health and well-being of the children.

The police officers’ wives who marched from Fruit Market, Maitama, to Unity Fountain in Abuja as early as 7:00am, explained that they were concerned about the current situation in the country.

Hajiya Baba, who was accompanied by the FCT Chairperson of POWA, Hajiya Fatimah Ciroma, while speaking on the theme: ‘’Securing the Future of the Nigerian Child,’’ urged all parents to include routine exercise in the activities of their children.

‘’Exercise of this nature helps our children and even ourselves to be fit at all times. It is important we inculcate a habit like this even if it is just once in a week,’’ she said.
