Fear grips Ibarapa residents, as gunmen resurface

Fear of fresh attack by unknown gunmen gripped residents of Ibarapa land on Monday afternoon as parents stormed schools in Ayete, Igangan and Tapa, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State to withdraw their children from schools.

Daily Trust reports that 24 hours after unknown gunmen attacked residents of Igangan and killed about 15 residents, some unknown armed men resurfaced in Idere, a close community to Igangan.

Our correspondent gathered that it took the intervention of local hunters, vigilantes and youths in the town to chase the gunmen to the border of Oyo and Ogun State.
