The rate of security in Nigeria has become alarming, and something urgent needs to be done about it. The situation in the South-East is frightening and it is time for the government to take drastic action to quell it. As it is, citizens can no longer go about their legitimate duties and that is very unfortunate. What is happening in the South-East is capable of grounding the country.
There are various channels through which grievances can be addressed and violence is not one of them. If anyone or group feels aggrieved, they should channel their complaints through the right channel. The country is still grappling with the crisis in the North-East and the security personnel are already overwhelmed. Adding another security issue will not help the country in any way.

I call on the people behind the crisis in the South-East to give peace a chance. They should explore the dialogue option. Nigeria belongs to all of us and setting it on fire will not do anyone any good.
