Police nab 4 robbers in Abuja

The police in Abuja have arrested four suspected armed robbers in the Nyanya axis of Abuja during a patrol.

In a statement, the command’s spokesperson, ASP Maryam Yusuf, gave the names of the suspects as Nurudeen Auwal, Auwal Adamu, Alamin Ibrahim and Nafiu Bala.

She said the suspects who were caught in the act confessed to being members of a seven-man syndicate terrorising Nyanya residents and its environs and that effort was ongoing to arrest other fleeing suspects.

She added that exhibits recovered from them included one dagger, two machetes, a 40-inche flat screen television, two techno phones, three wrist watches, one ATM card, N16,000 cash and two power banks.

Yusuf said the suspects would soon be arraigned in court and gave the command’s emergency telephone numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.
