Armed bandits have attacked three local government areas of Kaduna State, killing eight villagers including a community leader.
The LGAs attacked were Giwa where three persons were killed, Igabi four killed while in Chikun, a community leader was killed.

The report by security agencies stated that the attack in Giwa happened at Na’ikko village in Giwa.
The report said in a reaction to the attack at Na’ikko village, the youths attacked a nearby Fulani settlement Rugan Abdulmuminu and killed two persons whom they alleged to be involved in the initial attack.
The state commissioner for internal security and home affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the attacks in a statement issued on Friday.
He said the attack at Igabi took place at Dakyauro village, Sabon Birni, where four persons lost their lives and about 25 cows rustled.
According to him, two persons were injured in the attack at Igabi, while a community leader, Dauda Adamu, was killed by bandits at Ungwan Ayaba in Chikun LGA.
The commissioner further added that the armed bandits also invaded farmlands on the outskirts of Gigani village, Kerawa, Igabi LGA, and rustled 14 bulls being used by farmers to plough the land.
He said on receiving the reports, Governor Nasir El-Rufai sent condolences to the families of all who lost their lives in the attacks, as he prayed for the repose of their souls.
The commissioner said the Governor noted with deep concern the incidents in Na’ikko village in Giwa LGA, and appealed to residents to embrace recourse to law.
He implored them to avoid killings and reprisal actions that would prove utterly detrimental to peace in the area, as the government was working closely with security agencies and stakeholders.
