No panic buying in Ebonyi

There is no panic buying of food items in Ebonyi State following the pronouncement of a sit-at-home order by IPOB.

The leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, had called on residents in the five Eastern states and its environs to stock food items, insisting that markets, Shops and banks must close for business during the period of the order.

“If you have money now, please start buying food items but if you don’t have, you can borrow from friends, families, relatives, and banks.

“Don’t say you weren’t told or that you didn’t get any information about this development,” he announced.

Our correspondent who visited some markets in the state reported that normal business activities were ongoing.

South East Trust learnt that some individuals, especially those who want to travel out of the state, have re-scheduled their movement for fear of being attacked.
