The police in Imo State have arrested a 30-year-old man, Henry Eke, for defining a 13-year-old girl.
Our correspondent gathered that the girl’s father, Lambert Anyanwu, reported to the police that his daughter, Chimanya, was defiled by Eke on May 23 at about 9.pm.

Police spokesman in the state, SP Bala Elkana, confirmed the incident, saying the victim had been taken to hospital, while the suspect would be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
