Call off your strike, CJN begs judicial workers

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad on Tuesday begged the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria to call off its nationwide strike.

The CJN, according to a statement by his media aide, Ahuruakah Isah, made the appeal while receiving the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, at the Supreme Court over the strike by the JUSUN to demand financial autonomy for the judiciary.

Muhammad said calling off the strike would be in the interest of the nation and the larger interest of justice.
