Kano commences recruitment of 56 medical doctors

The Kano State Government has commenced the process for the recruitment of 56 medical doctors to boost healthcare delivery in the state.

The prospective medical doctors started the process on Tuesday by undergoing an aptitude test organised by the State Primary Health Care Management Board.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Tijjani Hussaini, in his remarks, while briefing the prospective candidates that applied for the post during the commencement of an aptitude test, urged the candidates to prepare for the challenges ahead stressing that successful candidates will be trained on different aspects of health care activities.

“Successful candidates will be trained on leadership, data management as well as on various primary health care activities”, he said.

He also enjoined them to be committed and dedicated when they successfully pass through the recruitment process.

Kano/Jigawa Chronicle reports that Kano, like other states in the country, has been battling with low manpower in the health sector among other issues.
