Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, on Sunday, said his thorough investigation revealed that none of the five people killed by customs officials in Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State on Sallah day involved in smuggling activities.
Daily Trust had on Friday reported that five residents of Iseyin who were fun-seekers were shot dead by Customs officials while they were celebrating Sallah with their families and friends when Customs were chasing alleged smugglers.

The incident led to burning of customs vehicles and house of an officer by aggrieved youths in the town.
However, the Federal Operating Unit of the Nigeria Customs Service, through the acting Controller, DSC Theophilus Duniya, said those killed were assailants who aimed at abducting an officer.
But reacting to the incident in Ibadan on Sunday, the senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Senator Buhari, who visited the families of the victims, said the customs lied about the incident.
The senator who recounted many misdeeds of the Nigeria Customs Service said he has names of the officers who perpetrated the dastard act but their names would be mentioned on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday.
