Israel-Palestine conflict: Nigeria urges de-escalation of hostilities

Nigeria has urged Israel and the State of Palestine to de-escalate the hostilities as a barrage of airstrikes on the besieged Gaza strip continued.

This was as Palestinian militants launched dozens of rockets from Gaza to Israel earlier on Tuesday.

The spokesman of the Ministry of foreign Affairs, Ferdinand Nwonye, in a statement yesterday, said: “The Federal Government of Nigeria is watching with great concern, the unfolding developments in Israel and the State of Palestine and urges both parties to see reason and de-escalate the hostilities.
