Unknown gunmen have abducted two residents of Ikaram in Akoko Northwest Local Government Area of Ondo State in two separate operations between Tuesday and Wednesday.
The traditional ruler of the community, the Akala of Ikaram, Oba Andrew Momodu who is the chairman of Akoko Northwest Traditional Council, who confirmed the development said the town and its environs are now under siege because of the fear of being abducted or killed by the hoodlums.

According to the monarch, the first kidnapping, which occurred along Okeagbe Ikaram road involved one Ade Gbodi, an HND graduate who was coming from his farm in Eda Ekiti.
The kidnappers are now demanding 10 million naira ransom to secure his release.
The second incident, it was learnt occurred 1 kilometre to where construction workers were kidnapped recently along Ikaram Akunu road.
As of the time of filing this report, the abductors have not contacted the family of the second victim.
Speaking on the state of insecurity in Ikaram Akunu axis Oba Momodu disclosed that the case had been reported to Okeagbe Divisional Police Headquarters.
He appealed to the government for massive recruitment of men into the police and equip them with modern weapons.
The regent of Akunu, Princess Tolani Orogun, appealed for a combined joint patrol of security agencies in the area in order to eradicate the incidents of kidnapping and armed robbery.
