“There is need for increased synergy between the security forces in the collective fight against the insurgency.
“We’re all committed to seeing the end of this ugly scourge which has stayed for too long, claimed many lives, destroyed many properties and consumed our scarce resources” Buni said.
He commended Lawan for his continuous support to the fight against insurgency.
Buni had, in his contact and mobilization strategy, recently met with the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Leo Iraboh; the Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and the Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abubakar Ahmed Audi.
He said the contact was to support and encourage the security forces to intensify their campaign against terrorism and crime.
