The Controller General of Federal Fire Service (FFS), Liman Alhaji Ibrahim, has decried the hostile attitude of citizens towards firefighters at fire scenes, saying they should rather appreciate and support them for the sacrifices they make in saving lives and property during emergencies.
The CG, in a statement issued by the service’s spokesman, Ugo Huan, on the occasion of this year’s International Fire Fighters’ Day (IFFD), called on citizens to desist from attacks of firefighters and destruction of fire trucks at fire scenes as that would dampen the morale of firefighters who risked their lives to save those of others and their property.
