He said details of the conference were disclosed when a delegation of the NBA-SPIDEL, led by its chairman, Paul Ananaba (SAN), visited Governor Seyi Makinde.
The governor pledged to support the annual conference in the state, and a safe and secure environment for the event.
“The Section on Public Interest is something that is very interesting to us because I always tell people that this government was put in place by the people themselves,” he said.
While speaking, the NBA-SPIDEL Chairman, Ananaba noted the developmental strides of the Makinde administration, adding that the fact that a majority of the cabinet members are lawyers must have contributed positively to Makinde’s success.
He also commended the government for displaying public interest by relocating displaced traders instead of abandoning them.
The meeting was attended by notable members of the NBA-SPIDEL delegation including former NBA General Secretary and Chairman of Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC), Abiola Olagunju (SAN); human rights activist and Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee (CPC), Mr. Monday Ubani, and NBA Ibadan branch chairman, Mr. Olayinka Esan, among others.
