When President Muhammadu Buhari left on March 30, 2021, it was Mohammed Adamu, who was Inspector-General of Police.
But by the time he returned to the country on Thursday evening, Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, was among those who welcomed him at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
Baba was seen saluting Buhari while the latter waved his hand in return.
The President had on April 6 named Baba as the acting IGP after the controversial sack of Adamu.
The pair, however, could not meet at time as Buhari had earlier travelled to London for medical check-up.
