A family of five, consisting of father, mother and three children, has been kidnapped in Ajowa Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The kidnappers, a family source said, are demanding for N10 million as ransom.
Mr Ibrahim Olusa and his family came to the town for Easter celebration but were abducted between Ajowa and Ayere in Kogi State on their way back to Abuja.
The abduction has brought apprehension and anxiety among the residents of the town.
A resident of Ajowa Akoko and immediate past chairman of Ajowa Akoko community council, Mr Ajayi Bakare, attributed the kidnapping and robberies on the road to the deplorable section, especially the part in Kogi State.
Bakare appealed to the government to rehabilitate the road so that free flow of vehicles will be made possible.
Spokesman of Ondo State Police Command Tee Leo Ikoro said he has not been briefed on the matter.
