Youth especially women have been tutored on how to involve themselves in decision making by the state government in order to ensure they influence policies.
The youth were tutored under a series of advocacy lectures organised by ActionAid Nigeria in Kaduna which is meant to help facilitate the youths in defining and identifying their own agenda in various sections of state government activities.
The Governance Manager of the group, Celestine Okwudili Odo explained that the core purpose of the lecture is to take the youths through policy influencing saying, “By this, we are creating solid steps towards getting the youth become more active and part of the decision making by their state government.”
A participant, Grace John Grace said the lectures have an impact greatly in guiding them on who are involved in decision making and making policies by the government.
He said he is better equipped to ask the right questions from the right government officials to get the right answers geared towards better involvement of youth in police and decision making.
