There was pandemonium when three fire servicemen and several other residents sustained injuries following a fire outbreak in Kaduna State.
Daily Trust gathered that the incident occurred around 7 am at Bushara area along Nnamdi Azikwe Expressway on Tuesday at a nearby tanker garage.
It was learnt that the fire lasted for three hours before it was finally put out by the state fire service officials.
Details of the fire outbreak remain sketchy as few tankers were completely burnt including few shops close to the garage.
Our reporter who visited the scene on Wednesday reported that people were seen in groups discussing the disaster.
An okada operator who didn’t mention his name told Daily Trust that many people sustained injuries while trying to remove their vehicles from the garage.
The State Fire Service Public Relations Officer, Nathaniel Gaya, who confirmed the incident, said three of their men were among the injured.
According to him, the three officials were rushed to a hospital.
He said the cause of the fire remained unknown but disclosed that the injured personnel were recuperating at the hospital.
