Foundation to track Kano missing tuberculosis patients

A non-governmental organisation, KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation in Nigeria, says it is keen on finding the missing TB cases in both the public and private facilities in Kano. Dr Odume Bethrand, Chief of Party USAID TB LON Regions 1 & 2 Project / Executive Director of the foundation, made this known at the commissioning of a TB Lamp platform donated by Human Diagnostic through KNCV to infectious Disease Hospital in Kano.

Daily Trust reports that the Kano State government had announced that no fewer than 20,522 patients who tested positive to TB have gone missing since 2019.
