The Lagos State Police Command has arrested seven members of a secret cult gang, Aiye Confraternity, while they were planning to carry out a reprisal attack on a rival gang in Ikorodu.
The police said the suspects were arrested in a hotel located along Rofo Street, Ikorodu, while strategizing on how to unleash the attack.

Those arrested were identified as Tochukwu Udoye, Chukwudi Agboji, Osunde Bright, Segun Ojo, Joseph Enang, Igeh Abdulmalik and Austin Paul, while two locally made guns and cartridges were recovered from them.
Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, in a statement, showcasing crime statistics in the state, said on February 21, 2021, at about 2 pm, information was received from a reliable source that some members of Aiye confraternity were sighted holding a meeting at M12 Hotel, Rofo Street, Ikorodu Lagos and planning an attack on rival cult members.
He said upon the receipt of the information, police operatives were drafted to monitor the area and consequently arrested the seven suspects with one locally made single barrel gun and one unexpended cartridge.
