Osun: 50,000 children to undergo free eye check up in Osun

A non-profit organization in Osun State, Community Advancement Initiative for Self Reliance (CAI4SR), has concluded arrangement to conduct free eye check up for 50,000 children in the state and 5,000 will get free eyeglasses.

The Executive Director of CAI4SR, Mrs Eni Ayeni, disclosed this in Osogbo while unveiling the programme aimed at curbing childhood blindness among school children with the support of Essilor-Social Impact Fund.

Ayeni said children drawn from 15 local government areas in the state will partake and urged parents to bring their children from age one to 16 to benefit from the programme.
