The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bauchi State sector command, has confirmed the death of three people whose vehicle plunged into a river but were discovered by some fishermen after three days of the accident at Tasham Turmi, three kilometers off Bara-Gombe road in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.
The state sector commander of the FRSC, Yusuf Abdullahi, who disclosed this to newsmen in Bauchi, said the incident was reported at the Bara area command of the corps and they immediately mobilised to the scene for a rescue operation.

Abdullahi said the three occupants, all males, were found dead when the car was pulled out of the river.
“There was a fatal crash on March 12, 2021 at Tasham Turmi, along Bara-Gombe road, involving a Toyota Corolla private car with plate number, AG111-TRR. It is suspected that the driver of the ill-fated vehicle lost control and plunged into a river.
“Some fishermen discovered the vehicle on Monday and reported by 11.50 am at the Bara unit command. Our men responded immediately and pulled the car out. The three occupants of the vehicle were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Gombe by the men of the Nigeria Police Force in Bara, where a medical doctor confirmed all of them dead,” he added.
Abdullahi, who said the vehicle had been kept at the police station in Bara, said an investigation to ascertain the identities and destination of the victims had commenced.
