Citizens of Katsina State displaced by bandits have cried out to the government to provide adequate security in their villages so that they can go back to farm before the commencement of the rainy season.
They expressed worry over their stay in the internally displaced persons (IDPs) camp without food.

They said that their sufferings would worsen if they cannot access their farms in the rainy season.
It was gathered that many people were displaced from over 10 villages by bandits due to incessant attacks, forcing them to migrate to nearby towns like Faskari, Batsari, and the state capital, Katsina.
Speaking to BBC Hausa Service on Monday, some of the people living as IDPs in Faskari Local Government Area said they were parked in a school where they hardly get food to eat.
One of the displaced people, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he has two wives and seven children.
He told Daily Trust that 10 different families with their children were packed in a single room for almost a year now, adding that they have no other sources of getting food unless from farming.
He therefore appealed to government to look into their situation.
Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmad, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, said the government is doing everything possible to restore peace in the state.
