Sources close to the victim told Daily Trust that the gunmen, whose number was yet to be ascertained ransacked the area.
Speaking to journalists, the father of the victim, Faruk Mohammed, said the movement of intruders into his compound woke him up around 1am.

Faruk, who is a personnel of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), added that after he took cover in his bedroom, he heard some attempting to break down the door.
They were still trying to gain entry when he called his colleagues and the police.
The gunmen fled before police arrived. He did a headcount of his household and realised the gunmen had taken his 18-year-old daughter with them.
Faruk said the kidnappers had not made any contact nor call for ransom.
