‘Zamfara needs FG’s support for peace’

The Federal Government needs to support the administration of Zamfara State Governor, Mohammed Bello Matawalle, in achieving lasting peace in the state.

The Katukan Nasarawa Godel, Ibrahim Muhammad Ibilo, said this in a press statement on Tuesday.

He said Matawalle deserved commendation for making the situation in the state better than it was before he assumed office.

He added: “Banning mining and air traffic activities in Zamfara should be looked beyond political party lines. The security authorities are well aware of the state of affairs in Zamfara over the years, but mining was never stopped with the banning of air traffic in the state until now.”
