Oyo condemns gender violence

In commemoration of 2021 International Women’s Day, the Oyo State government has extolled the women for their positive roles in the socio-economic development of the state.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Alhaja Faosat Sanni, stated this during a media parley on the occasion of International Women’s Day, in her office on Monday, where she appreciated the women for their vital roles as mothers and equal partners in the development of the home and society at large.

While responding to the theme for the year, ‘Choose to Challenge’, she urged individuals, organisations and corporate bodies to rise against gender inequality and celebrate the achievement of women all over the world.
