The Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers has condemned the gruesome murder of a farmer Toyin Akeju and his apprentice Daudu in Isaba-Ekiti in Ikole local government on March 5, 2021.
Speaking in his palace in Ilawe-Ekiti, the chairman of the traditional council in Ekiti, the Alawe of Ilawe, HRM Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, described the killings as a dastardly, inhuman and reckless affront to the deceased.

Oba Alabi, therefore, called on security agents to swiftly act and fish out the killers for prosecution.
He commiserated with members of the family of the deceased and prayed that God grants them the fortitude to bear the loss.
Oba Alabi, however, appealed to the youth and all members of the community to remain calm and cooperate with security agents as they begin the manhunt for the culprits.
The chairman of the state’s traditional council further appealed to the people of Ekiti State to be watchful and join hands with the police and other security agencies in making the state a peaceful place.
