Keffi old boys renovate classrooms, offices

Keffi Old Boys Association (KOBA), an association of former students of Government College, Keffi, Nasarawa State, has renovated one storey building comprising of eight classrooms and two offices in the college.

The President General of KOBA, Engr Edward Ujege, who was represented by the KOBA Secretary General, Mr Sam Israel, said during the commissioning of the project that the renovation was carried out by KOBA’s Set 23 in their effort to contribute to their alma mater.

The Chairman of KOBA Set 23 who undertook the renovation project, Mr Benedict Dingba, said, “I enjoin the school management and students to utilise the renovated classrooms for themselves and for others coming after them.”

In her remarks, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hajiya Fatu Sabo, who spoke through the school’s Principal, Audu Ohimegye, said the state government was satisfied with the renovation work and other giant intervention in the state’s education sector by KOBA.

She called on other sets of the association to emulate Set 23 in supporting government towards improving on the standard of education in the state.

The commissioner craved for support from similar associations to address the emerging challenges of the over four hundred public schools in the state.
