Wikki Tourists fought Abia Warriors ‘blindly’ — Abd’llah

Wikki Tourists coach, Usman Abd’llah believes going to their MatchDay 13 fixture with no information on Abia Warriors was a major reason for their 1-0 loss at Okigwe.

Wikki Tourists were guests of Abia Warriors last Saturday and they lost to a Fatai Abdullahi penalty in the 45th minute.

However, after the game, the Wikki Tourist coach told www.npfl.ng that he did no scouting on Abia Warriors before the encounter and knew nothing about them.

“Actually I haven’t seen the team and I had no knowledge about them. I hadn’t seen them play,” Abd’llah said.

“I know they did not start well this season and they picked up and are doing well now, but I had no idea how they play as I had not seen them play before now. I had no knowledge of the team.

“We just came out, played our normal game and we lost,” Usman Abd’llah said.

Wikki Tourists will hope to bounce back to winning ways when they host leaders Kwara United in Week 14 at the Tafawa Balewa stadium in Bauchi.

Captain Idris Guda Muhammed is confident of victory.

“We are going for the maximum points. It won’t be an easy match but we are not going to settle for anything less than three points,” he said.
