A middle-aged woman, popularly called Mama Wunmi, was killed in Ojoo area of Akinyele Local Government Area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Sunday during the time men of the park managers were on rampage.
An eyewitness told Daily Trust that many residents of Ojoo were attacked while traders took to their heels.

A State High Court had in last week nullified the appointment of the Park Managers system inaugurated by Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration after proscription of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
Justice M. A. Adegbola, who presided over the case filed by the former chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in the state, Abideen Olajide, popularly called Ejiogbe, described as illegal the collection of rates by the park managers appointed by the state government.
Our correspondent learnt that the park managers were on rampage in their reaction to the court judgement, which sacked the park management system in the state.
A source in the Ojoo market told Daily Trust that the crisis started around 6 pm on Sunday when one of the supporters of the chairman of the park managers’ disciplinary committee boasted that nobody could take over the park from the current leadership and shot in the air.
The source said: “One of our younger brothers who was coming from a naming ceremony was attacked. He was brutally macheted beyond recognition. Thuggery has returned to NURTW in Oyo state.”
When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi said he had not been briefed on the development, promising to confirm and get back to our correspondent.
